A Purebred Breeders Halloween #4: NYC Events for a Dog Halloween


Your dog is a part of your family and with the Halloween holiday coming up, they often feel disjointed from the rest of the family because of the lack of pet-friendly events. Not to worry, Purebred Breeders LLC has put together a list of some of the Halloween dog-welcome events that are going on in New York City.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22 @ NOON
21st Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade
Tons of doggy treats! Make sure to bring your dog in costume so he or she can bring home some great prizes and even iPods for you!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26 @ 7pm
Animal Fair Magazine’s 9th Annual Canine Comedy Howloween Pet Costume Party!
Dogs in costumes! Cocktails! Celebrity judges! All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of New York. Remember pet costumes are mandatory!! Tickets start at $40.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27 @ 7pm
Halloween Masquerade Ball
There will be a costume contest, raffles, music and dancing! All proceeds from the event will benefit Bobbi & the Strays, a non-profit no-kill animal rescue organization. Tickets are $100 per person and $50 for children 12 and under.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28 @ 6pm
Pups on the Runway – Halloween Costume Ball
At this fabulous event there will be a mini couture fashion show, a dance for pet adoption and a costume contest! Attendees will be able to enjoy complimentary goodie bags, hors d'oeuvres and drinks. All proceeds will benefit Bobbi & the Strays. Tickets are $25 and $5 for the costume contest.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30 @ Noon-6pm
Sean Casey Animal Rescue’s 4th Annual Howl-o-Ween Howl Block Bark
A $30 donation will get you a SCAR rescue bracelet and T-shirt.  All proceeds will go to completing SCAR’s second rescue shelter facility.
