Purebredbreeders.com found that the most popular dog mascot by far is the bulldog. Although typically a mascot in the world of collegiate sports tends to be someone in a costume, at the University of Georgia, their mascot is actually a dog, named Uga. The university has had generations of Uga since 1956, the current mascot is Uga VIII.
