Purebred Breeders LLC | Crazy Dog Laws

Purebred Breeders LLC has scoured the Internet and found some crazy dog laws that affect our furry friends and most often than not, don’t make any sense.

Here are some:
·         An example of why grammar matters...An ordinance in Belvedere, California, states "No dog shall be in a public place without its master on a leash.”
·         In Smithtown in New York, dogs are not allowed to bark for more than 15 min. at a time, the punishment upon the third infraction is a fine of $500 and a jail sentence of 15 days!
·         This one shows varying locations, but we found one that stated that in Palding, Ohio, a policeman is authorized to bite a dog in attempts to quiet the animal.
·         In Oklahoma, you can be arrested for making ugly faces at a dog.
·         This is one of the craziest… dogs must acquire a permit signed by the mayor to be able to congregate on private property in groups of 3 or more.  How a dog is supposed to obtain this permission is beyond me.
